The holiday season is rolling right along and we celebrated that on BumbleBee Brunch with a Hanukkah tune from Matisyahu and a Christmas track from Porridge Radio from 2020. We also tore-off the wrapping paper on a brand new Christmas tune from Boston's Abbie Barrett. This stunningly gorgeous track entitled "Christmas Star" is available to listen to and purchase over on Abbie's Bandcamp page. All proceeds from sales on the single go to Save the Children. GO give it a listen. It is beautiful!
Friday's Brunch featured new music from as far away as New Zealand with an artist I just discovered last week. She calls herself Ratbag and has created a band of cartoon characters around her (kinda like Gorillaz.) Her voice and music seem to live-in a similar lane with UK sensation Wetleg and late 70's post-punk-pop maverick Lene Lovich. She has a four song EP out entitled, "Why Aren't You Laughing?" that dropped on December 7th on Amazon. ALL of the songs great, but I finally decided to play "Dead End Kids."
