Welcome back to Knock Knock: New Music! I’ve been caught-up in a few different projects lately, but it’s time to get back in-gear with new tunes for you to enjoy!
Today’s selections comes to us from Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever. This five-piece indie-rock band out of Melbourne, Australia is coming-off a highly acclaimed debut album, entitled “Hope Downs.” That was out last June and the band has already gone back into the studio and recorded another one. “In the Capital” is their second full-length LP, which is due-out on April 26th.
You can catch Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever LIVE at the Boston Calling Music Festival coming-up in May. Let’s have a listen to the first single from the record. Singer/guitarist Fran Keaney says he got the initial inspiration for the song while swimming, but it took awhile before he had written something that closely matched the initial feeling. It’s the title-track, “In the Capital” and it’s just been added to the Knock Knock: New Music playlist. Happy listening! -Kristen
