Lights, Camera, Music! 12/15/2018 #16
#16
Hi it’s Kristen back with today’s selection for Lights, Camera, Music! Here’s today's photo selection... An aerial shot I took of Essex Bay from over Crane Beach in Ipswich, Massachusetts on a bright chilly morning in February. There are times when Winter can be as beautiful as it is brutal!
#16 Bob Moses
We’ve reached #16 in the countdown of my Top-30 favorite NEW songs of 2018. That spot goes to Bob Moses. Bob Moses in this case is the band-name for the electronic duo of Tom Howie & Jimmy Vallance.

They’re from Vancouver and knew of each other in high school, but they never played music together until they met some time later in New York. They combined their backgrounds in rock and trance-music to create a new sound. and released their debut EP, “Hands to Hold” in 2012. Their first LP, “Days Gone By” came-out in 2015.
“Battle Lines” is the new album from Bob Moses. It dropped back in September and it’s a very solid record. I’’m going with the track “Back Down.”
#16 Naked Eyes

Over on the Anniversary-30 playlist I have an album that is 35-years-old this year: The debut LP from New Wave duo Naked Eyes. It was a self-titled record here in the U.S. but in Great Britain it was called, “Burning Bridges.” The album reached #32 on the Billboard album chart and produced four Top-40 singles: “Always Something There to Remind Me” was the biggest hit making it to #8. Did you know that’s a Burt Bacharach & Hal David song? I’m going with a lesser-known single from the album that I used to slip inbetween the alternative rock tracks on WKKL… It’s called, “When the Lights Go Out” and it’s waiting for you know on the Anniversary-30 playlist. Happy listening! -Kristen
