Welcome to the weekend and Day-13 of The 31-Days of Halloween! It's a chilly rainy Saturday here in New England. The perfect kind of day to be thinking about creepy scary things. Here's a recent sight I found while walking around downtown Beverly. Nicely done!
I'll be heading down to Lynn later this afternoon to check-out a photo exhibit by Boston radio legend, Julie Kramer. She was a longtime personality on the now defunct WFNX and can now be found middays on Indie-617, the streaming internet radio station that rose from WFNX's ashes.
Julie is showcasing some of her amazing photography this weekend and next in Julie Kramer's The Basement Archives: Vol 1: The Ghosts of WFNX. She has some incredible photos of music giants like Joe Strummer, Iggy Pop, Johnny Rotten, and Elvis Costello to share. I can't wait to see this! Click HERE for location and gallery hours!
Speaking of music giants, here is today's musical selection from David Bowie with a track off his 1980 album, "Scary Monsters." This was the first record to follow the Berlin-Trilogy of "Low", "Heroes", and "Lodger." Let's go with the obvious tune, "Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps)" featuring King Crimson's Robert Fripp on guitar. It's just been added to the 31-Days of Halloween playlist. Happy listening! -Kristen
