Hello and welcome back to Knock Knock: New Music! Back on Friday I talked about some changes to the way I'll be presenting retro-music from this point forward. Fun-4-Friday has been retired in favor of posting favorite songs from the past at any given time throughout the week. Similar changes are now being made to this feature.
While the name will remain, "Knock Knock: New Music," I will be sharing one song at a time and on random days throughout the week, instead of just on Mondays. My goal is to create a more streamlined experience to tell you about cool new songs, while not taking up much of your time.
That said, let's get to it! Today I present you with Wye Oak. They are a duo from Baltimore, Maryland consiting of Jenn Wasner and Andy Stack. They got together in 2006 and a year later released their debut album, "Children."
Their sound is a mix of Indie Rock, Dream Pop, and Indie Folk. They're in the middle of a U.S. tour that stopped at The Sinclair in Cambridge last night.
"The Louder I Call, The Faster It Runs" is the sixth studio album from Wye Oak. It came out last month and I have added the track "It Was Not Natural" to the Knock Knock: New Music playlist on YouTube and Spotify for you to check-out. You can keep watching right here to listen to it or go to the Playlists page at KristenEckRadio.com anytime your heart desires. Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit. Happy listening!
